Cacti can be propagated and even grow in water, although special care and attention must be given to their unique needs.

This piece seeks to visualize the complex emotional state of my 30th year of life. Up to my chest in water, Treading, but not drowning.

It is a continuation of my 2023 self-portrait, Wade.
